Is music making you unhappy?

“Kill this bitch, steal this girl, coke, dope, smack and crack”.

My ears love the sound hip hop music gives to me.

But then again, if I was to do some cocaine I’m sure my body would love the feeling of that too…

Now, some hip hop music can be light and uplifting, but some hip hop music can be harsh and angry.

My question today is, can music change your vibration and make you feel different on the inside?

I used to listen to Metallica when I was younger.

And other bands that played angry styled music like KoRn, Slipknot, Disturbed etc. etc.

Did this angry styled music have an effect on me?

I believe it very well did.

As an artist goes deep into a certain state of emotion to create a certain piece of music, I believe that their creation is welded together with their emotions, and when listened to by the audience, it is carried through and effects them.

The emotions of that artist are transmuted into their voice and instruments, creating a musical piece that vibrates either positively or negatively.

Which you, as the audience, then listen to and are influenced by.

Does happy music make you feel happy? Does sad music make you feel sad? Does angry music make you feel angry?

Did you know we are made up of 75% water?

I remember seeing this video on Youtube where this Japanese scientist played different kinds of music to water in test tubes. He then looked at each sample of water’s molecules under a microscope to see if there were any changes.

The results were amazing…

The angry metal music made the water molecules look all chopped and harsh, while the classical music made the molecules look like clean, cut snowflakes.

Which is nuts if you think about it.

Next time you listen to music, talk to yourself, listen to your intuition.

Does this song make me feel anxious? Does this song make me feel sad? Does this song make me feel better?

Don’t choose a song that you think will make you feel better, listen to a song and see if it makes you feel better.

You may just need a song that helps you travel up the emotional scale.

The Emotional Scale:

1. Joy/Appreciation/Empowered/Freedom/Love
2. Passion
3. Enthusiasm/Eagerness/Happiness
4. Positive Expectation/Belief
5. Optimism
6. Hopefulness
7. Contentment
8. Boredom
9. Pessimism
10. Frustration/Irritation/Impatience
11. Overwhelment
12. Disappointment
13. Doubt
14. Worry
15. Blame
16. Discouragement
17. Anger
18. Revenge
19. Hatred/Rage
20. Jealousy
21. Insecurity/Guilt/Unworthiness
22. Fear/Grief/Depression/Despair/Powerlessness

Going from a fearful state all the way up to a state of joy may be too far a jump – that is why I say go with what feels right.

You may need to go from hopefulness to get to optimism and so on and so on.

Go with what feels right, you will know because you can feel it.

Getting Up Early

It is well to be up before daybreak, for such habits contribute to health, wealth, and wisdom.

I like getting up early.

When you get up early the world is quiet, the world is calm.

When you get up early, the world is.. your world.

Lately I’ve been getting up around 4:30-5:00 am, starting my morning meditation and then getting straight into my creative work.

I feel more fresh and creative in the morning.

I am definitely a morning person.

If you have a dream, a business or something else you want to work on I highly suggest getting up early one day and working on it to see if you prefer the advantages of the early morning.

The early morning is quiet, distraction free, all your friends and family are asleep and it’s dark outside, leaving you and your creations to intertwine peacefully and privately 🙂 .

You will be amazed at the level of accuracy, creativity and freedom you can emit early in the morning, before you go off to your job, get tired, come home and can’t be fucked to do anything.

Try it one morning and leave me a comment on how it goes.

The Importance of Staying Present

Yesterday I was reminded of the importance of staying in the moment.

I think I had been spending a lot of time with the voice in my head.

Too much time.

Today I want you to try staying in the moment.

Feel the seat on your ass, your feet on the floor, the wind brush your face, the touch of your hand to your internet device.

There is no fear or regret when you are in the moment.

It is impossible to feel fear of the future and regret of the past when you are in the moment.

Try to keep the voice in your head quiet and be like a dog.

You don’t see your dog worrying to much do you?

The dog is always present.


The dog lives in the moment and totally drinks in all experience, like most (if not all) other animals.

Meditation can help with this practice.

Try meditation today if you have not done it before.

5 minutes of quiet time listening and feeling the in-and-out flow of your breath with your eyes closed.

If you lose your focus, go back to breath.

Do not get angry if you lose focus, you may have never tried this before, go back to the breath and try to quite your mind.

Know that losing focus, IS a part of meditation and that each time you regain focus, you increase your ability to stay mindful of your thoughts.

There are gyms for lifting weights and there are gyms for strengthening your mind.

This is one of them.

Be quiet and just feel today.

Leaving Cues of Excitement Around the House

When you spend money and buy something new and your excited about it…


There is nothing wrong with buying new things and keeping them around you.

Recently I bought two decks of daily affirmation cards.

And I was fucken pumped the fuck up that I bought them.

Now, I had the option to leave them in a drawer and get them out once a day to do my affirmation…

But I thought.. fuck that.

I’m gonna leave these babies out in the open of my room, so that every time I see them I feel good that these 2 new products are a part of my life.

If you’re like me and you believe in the Law of Attraction (LOA), leaving nice cues like this around the house can only benefit you.

And even if you don’t believe in the LOA, leaving cues like this around this house will at least make you happy when you see them :).

And there’s nothing wrong with that.

Don’t be a perfectionist.

Perfectionists never get anything done..

Simply because they’re trying to make everything… perfect.

Being a perfectionist will hold you back.

I need to become less of a perfectionist.

People that are the opposite of perfectionists generally have more fun.

What they say is.. good enough.

What they look like is.. good enough.

and the work they put out is generally.. good enough.

It sounds like a fun way to live.

Get your hands dirty and learn and improve along the way.

No one’s paying to see a man in the crowd, they’re paying to see the man in the arena.

So get the fuck up, get dirty and put something out there…

Because there will never be a perfect time.
